Sets up and operates variety of machine tools; fits and assembles parts to fabricate or repair machine tools; maintains/repairs industrial machines.
Must have experience in some or all of the operations listed: hydraulic; pneumatic; high-voltage/multi-phase electrical; welding; fuel line/crane/machinery/heavy equipment/tractor-trailer repair.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Observes and listens to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunction and determine need for adjustment or repair.
Studies blueprints, sketches, machine parts or specifications to determine type and dimensions of metal stock required.
Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points on metal stock surfaces.
Dismantles machine or equipment to examine parts for defect or to remove defective part.
Replaces defective part with new part or repairs or reproduces part from various kinds of metal stock.
Assembles and test operates machine to verify correction of malfunction.
Maintains and lubricates machine tools and equipment.
Maintains all equipment to OSHA standards.
Maintains all documentation according to OSHA standards.
Performs all duties assigned that are not previously listed.

Education and/or Experience:
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Current Driver's License (Class "A" license a plus), clean DMV record, Forklift Certification

Minimum 10 years G-Code programming (this does not include editing)
Ability to write and use sub-programs
Familiar working with Haas EC 1600 and VF5
Knowledge of machining steel and heat-treated steel alloys
Extensive knowledge of speeds, feeds, and cutting tools
Must be honest, responsible, and reliable
Must be able to read and fully comprehend Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
Strong mathematics skills
Able to plan, layout, setup, and perform all machine operations and procedures
Must be able to safely operate overhead hoist for loading and unloading parts
Ability to effectively and safely operate forklifts and saws
Ability to read and write in the English language
Skill in detail oriented work
Demonstrated effective communication skills
Basic computer skills
Lifting - must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Standing & bending to operate machinery
Fine motor skills essential
Salary: DOE $15.00 - $19.00
